Reveal: Emerald Green Eye Makeup

Hi guys!

Welcome to a tutorial for the makeup below...

Last June 23, my cousin had her debut party in Taytay Rizal. I was actually the host for the night by request of the debutant. (I'll show you details of that debut and the outfit that I wore for that night on my next post). So, I did a little bit of creativity for that night and so I created this look for my sister.

I decided to do emerald for my sister's makeup because she was wearing emerald that night. So this make up really complemented her skin and her dress as well. So let's start.

1st: Of course clean your face to prevent breakouts and remove unnecessary oil on the face.

2nd: Apply your most favorite moisturizer. It's ok if the moisturizer doesn't have SPF or something if you'll be inside the venue most of the night and the party is happening at night because the SPF will be useless. In my case, I used Olay moisturizer.

3rd: Apply concealer first before foundation. Just to make the concealer blend to the foundation when you apply it on top. I used ELF cover everything concealer in light.

4th: Finally put on your best foundation. It is best to use Liquid foundation for oily skin and cream for dry. Also, set your liquid foundation with a powder one. If you'll be using cream foundation check it if it's a cream to powder foundation because it doesn't need anymore setting or else you might put too much foundation on. Less is natural. I used Nichido liquid foundation. Don't forget to put foundation on your neck and ears.

5th: Contour people! Use a contouring powder or any foundation that you think is darker than your shade. Or, might as well use a blush with a bronze color. Use the powder on the hollows of your cheek to make a slimming effect. Also, don't forget your temples, jaw line, chin, sides of your forehead and places where shadows usually show. This will help your face 3 dimensional and not flat.

6th: Don't forget the brows girls! Use a brow powder that is 1-2 tones lighter than your hair. We don't want the brows to look blackest. Just fill in the gaps and try using a clear brow gel to set the hairs.

7th: Line the sides of your nose. Use the ends of your brow near your nose as the guide. From there, line your nose with a light brown eyeshadow to the point of your nose.

8th: Finally let's do the eyes! Ready your eyeshadows this colors -
emerald green - a palette from markwins
dark blue - korean makeup palette
silver - shawill
cream - MAC rice paper
black - MAC carbon

Prime your eyes first! I found a good primer from L.A. girl which is the PRO primer. It really prevents e/s to smudge and crease.

start with the cream e/s on the inner corners of the yes and the brow bone.

use silver on the 1st third or the eyes. a little circle will do. then put on the emerald green on the 2/3 of the eyes. On the outer corner and on top of the emerald green, make a gradient effect using your dark blue. Then put on the black on the outer V of the eyes and a little bit on the crease. Then blend the hard edges.

Then, use a liquid eyeliner for a more precise line. If you have monolid, create a thicker line so it can be seen. (my sister is a monolid with a deep crease, eyeliner hides when she opens her eyes so I had to create a very bold thick line.) I used the Tony Moly Party Lover Eyeliner.

Line also your water line with brown so it doesn't look very drag.

Then Mascara! black is the best for fuller eyes. I used Elizabeth Arden Mascara in black. You can also put on falsies if you prefer. My sister doesn't like it so we stick on to her natural lashes which is pretty thick.

9th: Blush please! put it on the apples of your cheek. A light pinkish color will do great with green.

10th: Last is the lips! use your most favorite pink or peachy color lipstick. I used Narcissus from NYX for my sister.

Hoala! There it goes! It's great for a day time to night time makeup. Looks great also on fair to pale skin.

Try it on guys! It will surely catch the party's spotlight!

Let me know what you think of this makeup!

Bye!
MRS. RAQUID
