My Indonesian Friends

Hi guys!

I know it's been a long time! I was quite busy with my previous home-based job. Anyways, last August 21, tuesday, while everyone is taking their holiday, me and my husband went to Paranaque and Intramuros for a Pre-nuptial Photoshoot. It was a gig offered to me by a good friend Kuya Ron Brosas and his wife May. They have a photography business (I'll post the link below so check it out!) and their newest client was loooking for a makeup artist. Take note, this couple is a foreigner! My first time, honestly! Here they are!

Sharon Laureen and Andrias Suganda from Indonesia

Beautiful couple right? They came to the Philippines for a vacation and so they chose the place to be their prenup site. Why? Probably because they don't have Spanish architectural designs in their country because they mostly have temples. Intramuros is a wonderful and romantic place for prenup because of the nature and the historical walls. I, myself was so amazed by the place. (it was my first time to really explore the place, sorry!)

Yeah, before we went to Intramuros, me and my husband (being my driver and assistant) went to their hotel in Paranaque. It was a small hotel or shall I call it an Inn because it looked like one or worst. Anyways, we did the preparation at exactly 7 am then finished by 8 am then ran to Intramuros after.

Sharon wanted a very natural look and she is not used to putting on makeup. I actually had to trim her brows because both were untouched. It was more of a highlight and a brown eyeshadow. I added an eyeliner of course, a mascara and did her brows carefully to frame her face. A very pink blush and lipstick , a powder to set and that's it! She liked it a lot! I used a cinema secrets super sealer and her makeup stayed all day! And it looked so natural! I almost did not retouch her makeup except for the lipstick.

Andrias had scars on his right cheek and he wanted to hide it from the picture so I just put on some concealer, powder and lip balm.

Here are the results of the photoshoot.

By the way, the shots were taken by my Husband who is currently self-studying photography. Those were not the official photographs of the prenup. I just gave you a bit of the photoshoot.

Review: L'Oreal Hydrafresh Mattifyng Gel and Toner

Hi Guys!
No makeup tutorial for now!

Today, I'm going to show you my new regimen for my oily face.
Well, most of you don't know that I have a very oily face. So, throughout the day my makeup would be greasy and yucky especially when it so hot and humid. Finally, while looking for a setting spray in the Department store, I saw the shelves of L'Oreal and found something really cool. Cool because of its color, how I love it!

These two are amazing! I do recommend this for oily skin like mine.
Let's talk about the first one, the Hydrafresh Anti-shine Purifying and Mattifying Icy Toner... Whoooh, that was long. We can all it the Icy Gel.

It says on the bottle that it has Deep Marine Source Water and Purifying Minerals. These two will invigorate your skin and will provide a splash of ocean freshness. (that's from the bottle guys, not my claim).

As for the feel and texture of this toner, well, it's liquid and icy! It's cold on the face when applied though do not put these on your eyes. It has this minty smell and feeling when on top. Quite refreshing!

One thing, the toner dries up easily when on the cotton ball. I don't know, I tend to put more product just so I could apply it all over my face. Or I think it was being absorbed fast by my face. Then you will feel that your face becomes dry and matte.

Next, my favorite! The Hydrafresh Anti-shine Hydrating and Mattifying Icy Gel. Or can we call it Icy Gel instead? Yes, easier.

It says on the box that it has a rich Deep Marine Source Water just like the Icy Toner. It's an "Icy gel to water" Daily Moisturizer. It also says here that it clears skin from shininess and durably supplies it with Hydration. So, even though it mattifies it, the skin is still hydrated.

As for the texture, It's like a moisturizer gel that looks watery than cream. All you need though is a small amount for the whole face or else It will make your skin really wet. So, a tiny bit is enough. Just like the toner it is really icy in feeling. Then leaves your skin soft and matte. No grease at all!

I sometimes leave these two alone if I am going to stay at home. But when I went out I still put on sunblock after the Icy gel.

All in all, these two products are amazing! Perfect for Humid and Hot areas like ours.
I use these two before makeup as well and It works well. You can also use The Cinema Secrets Moisture Spray for better foundation application.

Here you go, I hope you learn something It's worth a try.

The Icy Toner costs about Php 295 and the Icy Gel is worth Php 399.

See you soon!

Just woke up beauty

Hi guys! Another tutorial, it is!

I was practicing makeup when my husband thought of taking my picture. Many liked the picture and I thought of doing a tutorial for this: Hair and Makeup.

First of, go on with your usual foundation routine. Then a little bit of contouring so it will show on the photo.

I used a reddish brown for my eyelids and a cream eyeshadow on the eyebrows. A light-handed application on the brows with a light gray pencil. The trick for this look is a LOOOONNNGGG, thin eyelashes. It looked natural yet it gives emphasis on the eyes. Then a coral blush and a pinkish coral lipstick. The one I used was from NYX rounded lipstick.

Then for the hair, I just took a bath that time, did a little mousse and air dried. Scrunch the hair a bit and a little teasing for volume (because my hair is quite thin). Then a husband or a boyfriend to take your picture! :)

That's it. Hope you guys like it!

Makeup artist for a day with...

I forgot! I almost forgot about blogging my experience as a makeup artist for Artista Academy. Well, the gig was not for the whole show, it was a one day experience only. I had the opportunity to be the MUA for Artista Academy's interview segment. The schedule was crazy for the itinerary started in TV5 then to Morato, to Broadway up to the Heritage Park (which is so on-the-spot).

Anyways, the people whom I'm gonna color is JC de Vera, Aga Mulach and Jasmin Curtis (supposedly). Turned out the schedule crashed and I was left with one celeb whom was JC de Vera. So, it was for a short interview so a little makeup did well. I just used my loose powder, a little natural blush, and a tinted lip balm which gave a little color to his lips.

Here it is. Simply just like he wanted it to be. (He requested this).

Then, we headed to different parts of Quezon City to Taguig then finally went home not so tired. But the crew was. hehe.

See you later!
